Orff: Carmina Burana – concert of the Institute of Music, Faculty of Arts

The Institute of Musical Arts of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts wishes to commemorate the special anniversary of our University. They have chosen to perform an adaptation of Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' for solo, choir, two pianos and percussions. The peculiarity of the opus is that the texts adapted by Orff date back to the times of the establishment of our university, i.e. the 14th and 15th centuries, moreover, the musicalised verses were written by students. It is going to be performed by the professors and students of the Institute and the university Chorus of UP. Conductor: Prof. dr. Tamás Lakner, director with Liszt Award, dean of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts.
